Advantages
Le MegaCube a fait son apparition en Europe il y a plus d'un an et il est récemment arrivé sur le marché québécois, mais en quantités limitées. Le MegaCube est décrit comme l'aimant le plus fort au monde, doté de 6 faces magnétiques de 450 kg. Contrairement aux autres aimants de pêche en néodyme, ce bloc magnétique est entièrement protégé, on le décrit comme étant indestructible.
Disadvantages
Indestructible signifie : qui ne peut être détruit ou semble impossible à détruire. Le Megacube, bien qu'il soit protégé à 100%, rencontre néanmoins des difficultés qui sont ancrées dans la base de son aimant et visible sur le long terme uniquement.

Au fil du temps, selon les zones choisies pour la pêche à l'aimant, la partie inférieure (en dessous) qui est en contact avec les roches va se réduire, s'amincir, s'éroder, jusqu'à ce qu'elle se détache.

Cela signifie que vous conserverez à la fois la surface et le contour, ce qui peut être considéré comme un désavantage pour certains. Ne vous méprenez pas, votre aimant sera dorénavant à 100% de sa puissance et de son pouvoir magnétique aussi.

Dès cet instant, vous devez être plus vigilant afin de ne pas la fracasser sur des roches manifestement. En revanche, sa force est encore plus immense que le jour de son acquisition. Un tire-fort est fortement recommandé pour assurer la protection de votre investissement.

Anecdote : Mon épouse a récupéré mon aimant au bureau de poste et l'a placé dans le coffre arrière de la voiture. Une fois chez moi, le coffre refuse de s'ouvrir avec la commande à distance ???
Même en étant dans la boîte et dans son revêtement de protection, l'ouverture de la valise était entravée par le champ magnétique. Impressionnant.
